Town Hall Open Late Feb. 10 for Voter Registration

Feb. 10 is the last day to register or change party affiliation for the March 1 presidential primary.

Swampscott, MA - The Swampscott Town Clerk’s Office at 22 Monument Avenue in Town Hall will remain open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10. Anyone wishing to vote in the upcoming March 1, 2016 Presidential Primary Election must register no later than this deadline.

Registrations can be done in person in the Clerk’s Office or by mail-in. In order to qualify for voter registration you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Massachusetts, 18 years old on or before Election Day or not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction. Official Voter Registration forms are available in person, by mail or by downloading the form on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howreg.htm.

Absentee ballots for the primary are also available at the Town Clerk’s office.
