Wedding Announcement: Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gorham

A wonderful celebration of love, laughter, and life.

Alison Ballweg of Wisconsin and Francis Gorham of Swampscott, MA were happily united in marriage on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at St. Hedwig’s Church in Milwaukee, WI.

Alison is the daughter of Michelle and Ron Ballweg of Waunakee, WI and

Frank is the son of Francis Gorham, Sr. of Lynn, MA and Patricia Gorham of Swampscott, MA. Frank is the grandson of Marilyn Kucera of Revere, MA and the grandson of Joseph and Ellen Klink of Nahant, MA. Frank is also the Godson of Constance and Dan Carman of Swampscott.

Frank and Alison met while engineering students at Marquette University. Before long, while working together in an engineering co-op, their friendship blossomed into romance. They currently live in Chicago, IL. Frank is a Project Manager at ARCO/Murray National Construction Company and Alison is a Project Manager at McShane Construction Company.

Dan Carman, Frank’s cousin and best friend since childhood, was the Best Man along with Rob Wenner, a college roommate and friend. Other Groomsmen were Eric Ballweg, Tyler Ballweg, Jay Rynne, Matt Suglich, Chris Zakelj, and and Greg Smith.

Missy Stein, sister of Alison, was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids for Alison were Ilyson Williams, Sarah Eilers, Kayla Flint, Jane Singlyn, and sisters of the groom Katherine and Shauna Gorham. Christina Gallo was Alison’s Bridal Attendent.

Close friends and family were included in all aspects of the wedding. Connie Carman read the First Reading and Len Russo read the Prayers of the Faithful. Chris Carman and Christina Gallo brought up the gifts of bread and wine.

Family and friends enjoyed a beautiful and lively reception at the Marcus Art Center in downtown Milwaukee, overlooking the scenic Milwaukee Riverwalk. Guests danced and reveled all night to a wide variety of music ranging from country to Michael Jackson.

It was touching to see Alison and her father, Ron Ballweg dance to “I Loved Her First” by Blake Shelton. Then Frank and his mother, Pat Gorham, danced to “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait.

Our love is unconditional

We knew it from the start

I see it in your eyes

You can feel it from my heart

From here on after

Let’s stay the way we are right now

And share all the love and laughter

That a lifetime will allow.
