Woman Fatally Struck By Commuter Rail

LYNN, MA – A woman was struck and killed by a train at the Lynn Commuter Rail station early Friday evening, the MBTA Transit Police said. The woman, a white female in her 40s, transit police said was struck while trespassing on the inbound track about 100 yards south of the platform.

Officers responded to a report of someone possibly struck around 5:50 p.m. They discovered the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Foul play was not suspected.
