2 Charged In Fentanyl Trafficking Case: Tewksbury Police
A man and a woman were charged after police said they found fentanyl and crack cocaine in their Tewksbury motel room.
TEWKSBURY, MA — A man and a woman were charged after police said they found fentanyl and crack cocaine in their Motel 6 room Tuesday.
Moraima Perez, 48, of Lowell, and Jose Rivera, 57, of Lowell, were charged with trafficking fentanyl (36 to 100 grams), possession with intent to distribute a class B substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Police obtained a search warrant following an investigation and surveillance of a Motel 6 room at 95 Main St.

Police searched the room and said they found just under 60 grams of fentanyl, over 6 grams of crack cocaine, and $9,125 in cash, as well as various drug paraphernalia.
Both Perez and Rivera were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court.
