2-Month Water Main Replacement Starts Tuesday
Tewksbury residents in this area must take special note.

TEWSKBURY, MA — Tuesday will mark the beginning of Tewksbury preparing a 2-month project to replace the existing water main on Carter Street and Cart Path Road beginning at the end of Cart Path Road and working out toward the intersection with East Street.
Work will be performed between 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Traffic flow will be maintained as possible, but as there is limited access to Carter and Cart Path beyond Leston Street, motorists are asked to drive very slow, as well as planning to limit the number of trips in and out of the area.
Cedrone Corp. will be installing temporary bypass water piping and service connections (blue/black plastic pipe and hoses) to all homes serviced by the existing water main. When that's installed, Tewksbury will send a note indicating that the Water Department will need to shut off existing service at the water meter in order to transfer service to the temporary bypass. An employee from the Water Department may need to enter the basement of the homes affected.
