Summer Reading Club Party!

Friday, August 10, 11am-noon

For ages 3 to 11. Get ready to dance, get your face painted, play with bubbles and play games! Juggler & Entertainer Michael Menes of Maine will be here to send out our last Family Fun Friday of the summer with a bang. Raffle prizes will be drawn (winner need NOT be present to win) and other final summer reading prizes will be given out, including certificates! No registration required.

Did You Find Xand This Week?

Children are encouraged to search for the library's friendly resident alien "Xand" somewhere on the first floor. When they locate him, come to the Children's Room Desk and let us know what he has to say this week! You'll receive a raffle ticket to enter to this week's prize pack. Remember, Xand's location changes EVERY week this summer and he's not confined to the Children's Room.

FILM SCREENING: Ready Player One

Friday, August 10, 12:30pm & 8pm

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- “Ready Player One,” a sci-fi action adventure starring Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke and Ben Mendelsohn. When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his "Easter Egg," which will give the finder his fortune. 73% positive critics rating. Rated PG-13. 140 minutes. Doors will open at 7:30pm. Candy & water will be provided. A $1 donation is suggested. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library and Tewksbury Lions Club. Weekly Adult Summer Reading Raffle

Friday is the final day to enter this week's Adult Summer Reading Raffle. Simply fill out the entry form at the Front Desk for every book you've read (or listened to) since your last library visit. Winner will be notified Monday morning. This week's prize is a $20 gift card to Skewer's Wood Grill in Tewksbury.

Friends of the Library Monthly Raffle Fundraiser

The Friends of the Library is raffling off four 30-minute Jump Passes to Altitude Trampoline Park in Billerica and an Altitude Carry Bag, valued at approximately $40. Tickets cost $2 each or five for $5. Tickets can be purchased at the library's Front Desk. Drawing will be held on Thursday, August 28. Winner will be notified via phone. Proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Library.
