Non-Fiction Book Group: The Radium Girls

Please join us for a discussion of The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore. Read a full-length account of the struggles of hundreds of women who were exposed to dangerous levels of radium while working factory jobs during World War I. Learn howthey were mislead by their employers and became embroiled in a groundbreaking battle for workers' rights. Copies of the book are available at the second-floor Reference Desk.

Film Screening: Book Club

Enjoy a screening of one of Hollywood's newest DVD releases -- Book Club, a romantic comedy starring Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen & Jane Fonda.
