Author Amy Kwei ("Under The Red Moon: A Chinese Family in Diaspora" and "A Concubine for the Family") will discuss the historical and cultural background of her chronicle of a Shanghai family surviving war, revolution, exile and political division. The family in her novels are based, in part, on the real-life experiences her own family endured. Learn more about Amy HERE. Q&A and book selling/signing to follow for those interested. Mini Pinata Making

Tuesday, September 25, 5:30pm

Join us in the Teen Space while we make cute, food-themed mini pinatas! You will have the option of making a taco, ice cream cone or cheeseburger. Please register so we have enough craft supplies for everyone. Register HERE.

Tewksbury Community Market

Tuesday, September 25, 4pm-7pm

Come visit the Tewksbury Community Market to shop for art, crafts, flowers, plants and food. There will be around 10 vendors, plus an occasional food truck! The market, which runs until September 25, is located on the library's front lawn, next to the parking lot, near the 9/11 Memorial. No registration.

Tewksbury History Helpers

Tuesday, September 25, 1pm-5pm

Members of the Tewksbury Historical Society will be at the library on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the Local History Room to answer inquiries or assist you in your own research. No registration.

Display Case: National Recovery Month

The Tewksbury Public Library is proud to be hosting a Recovery Art Project display in collaboration with the Tewksbury Hospital and the town's Substance Abuse Prevention Director Maria Ruggerio. "Art empowers individuals with positive decision making, encourages self-regulation through coping skills, and promotes self-expression." The display can be found in the library's lobby for the months of September (National Recovery Month) & October (National Substance Abuse Prevention Month).
