This project involves the upgrades to the water distribution system on Andover Street between River Road and Waterford Meadow Drive.

The work on Andover Street between River Road and Waterford Meadow Drive includes transfer of service connections and tie-in of existing side streets from the existing 6” transite water main to the existing 16” ductile iron water main.
Roadway Closures/Detours
A detour route will be implemented during construction hours. During construction hours, Andover Street westbound traffic (towards Lowell) will be detoured via Trull Road and River Road and also Hood Road to River Road. Eastbound Andover Street traffic (towards Andover) will be unaffected. Work hours are will be from 7AM-5PM. Significant delays are anticipated and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes where available.

Project Schedule
Work is anticipated to commence on the week of July 27, 2020. Work is anticipated to take approximately three weeks to complete. Residents and businesses will experience brief periods of water service interruption when their water services are transferred over to the new water main. Notices will be distributed informing of the planned service interruptions 48 hours in advance of the interruption.
