Armed Robber Hits Tewksbury Convenience Store
Police are investigating an armed robbery in Tewksbury on Sunday night. The suspect had what is believed to be a large-capacity gun.
TEWKSBURY, MA — A suspect robbed a Tewksbury convenience store on Sunday night, according to police. The suspect entered Andy's Variety at 420 Woburn St. at 8:37 p.m. and robbed the store armed with what police said appeared to be a "large-capacity firearm."
The man brandished the gun as he demanded cash and other items from a clerk. The suspect then ran across Woburn Street and into a wooded area.
The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s, wearing a black sweatshirt with white strings, black pants, a navy blue backpack, and white and black Nike sneakers with an orange or red swoosh. The suspect was armed with a Tec9-style firearm with an extended magazine.
