Arrest Made In Tewksbury Stabbing

Anthony Puliafico, 54, is accused of stabbing stabbed a man and his dog after an altercation.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury Police say a man stabbed another man and his dog Tuesday after the victim’s pet dogs "became involved in a clash." Anthony Puliafico, 54, of 202 Ames Hill Drive in Tewksbury, was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and cruelty to animals.

Police were called to the Ames Hill apartment complex Tuesday, where they found the victim, who was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives identified Puliafico as a suspect and arrested him without incident.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the altercation to contact the Tewksbury Police Department at 978-851-7373.
