Back to Basics - 2019
It all starts with a solid foundation. Now is a great season to refresh the basics.

As students are getting ready to head back to college (just a few short weeks), high school, middle school, etc., the Fall 2019 "Kindness Program" sponsored by TSDI Enrichment Programs Inc., 501(c)3 Public Charity, has launched at The Self-Defense Institute, www.tsdiOnLine.com in Tewksbury. Students are reminded to start, live and end each day with integrity during this program and always. (Shihan Deb explains ‘the art of telling the truth’ to her young students this way: “When you tell the truth there is nothing to remember. There is no stress. The truth is always easy to recall.”) Here are some great questions for parents to ask their children after school instead of "How was your day?" These are a few questions that will keep them in the conversation with meaningful updates from them: "What made you smile today? Can you tell me an example of kindness you saw/showed? What did you do that was creative and/or fun? Who did you sit with at lunch? Tell me something you know today that you did not know yesterday? Did you like your lunch? If you could change one thing about your day, what would it be? What made your teacher smile today? What made your teacher frown today? If you could switch seats with anyone in class, who would it be? And Why? What kind of person were you today?"
