Transitioning from the hectic (yet full of so many wonderful memories) routines of summer to the structure of the Fall Season is exiting and has everyone full of enthusiasm. Keep those dream alive! Remember, the greatest achievement was once a dream! Be the #Upstander and #BeTheChange. As you review the basics, remind your child that overpowering (physically or mentally) another student is wrong. If they see something like this, they should tell a trusted adult. There is always someone willing to help make things right for them and all students. Being involved, or just witnessing it, can be stressful, especially at school. It can occupy the child's mind instead of schoolwork. It may cause him/her to dislike school, not because of the workload, but because of the atmosphere. Get the conversations rolling early on in the school year to keep up with your child's concerns, achievements, and excitement. Also, resetting device use for the new school year is not a bad idea. - Basic Concepts/Great Start
