Budryk, Riparo Net Two, Redmen Top Andover, 6-2

Coming off of a tie against Lincoln-Sudbury, Tewksbury needed to make a statement against a weak Andover team.

That is exactly what they did.

Just 45 seconds into the bout in Andover, Dario Riparo put home is own rebound after a nice pass from Ryan Meade to give Tewksbury the 1-0 lead early. Tewksbury really controlled the game through the rather quiet 1st period.

The Redmen seem to like coming out hot. To start the 2nd, this time 57 seconds in, Dario put home his 2nd goal of the night, again from Meade, to give Tewksbury a 2-0 lead.

But Andover quickly answered. 30 seconds later, Andover's Steven Schuhwerk put a nice backhand past Kyle Paquette to make it a one goal game. This goal didn't do anything but fire the Redmen up to get this game back in their favor.

With a little over 5 minutes remaining in the period, Jack Cash snuck the puck by Andover's Kristopher Augustine after a very nice pass from Colin Quinn to give Tewksbury a two goal lead.

They were nowhere near done in the 2nd period though. David Dempsey got in on the action as he netted his first goal of the season with the assists from Meade and Captain Budryk.

And Mr. Budryk decided to add one of his own, as he netted the 4th Tewksbury goal of the Period, 5th of the game with a nice shot. Rob Cutone and Ryan Petti got the assists as Tewksbury heads into the 3rd completely in control of the game.

Tewksbury gets a Powerplay in the 3rd period around the ten minute mark, and Ross Budryk decided, like Dario, one goal wasn't enough. Budryk ripped a wrist shot off the post and in to give Tewksbury a 6-1 lead.

Andover managed a slip another puck by Kyle Paquette to make it 6-2 late in the period but that was all she wrote. Tewksbury came in knowing they had to dominate a weak Andover team, and that is exactly what they did.

Tewksbury next plays Wednesday evening, at 7:30 in Tewksbury, against North Andover. Tewksbury dropped the second game of the season to North Andover in a game where Tewksbury just didn't look like themselves. A must needed win against another below .500 team.
