Boy Hit By Car In Tewksbury Expected To Recover
The nurse driving the car stayed on scene to help the boy and call 911.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- A seven-year-old boy who was hit by a car while riding his bike in Tewksbury Wednesday night is recovering from his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. The boy was taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital following the accident around 5 pm, where doctor's determined he did not suffer internal or permanent injuries. In a social media post to a closed Facebook group Tuesday, a family member said the boy was doing much better and had "just bruises."
Tewksbury Police and Fire responded to the call on Pratt Street on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Middlesex District Attorney's office, which is investigating the crash.The boy reportedly suffered head and neck injuries but was conscious and talking to first responders as they treated him. CBS-Boston reported Thursday that the boy is from Malden and was visiting family in Tewksbury. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The boy was taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital with what the D.A. described as "serious injuries." The driver of the Cadillac XT5 involved in the crash, who was not identified, is a nurse who stayed on scene to tend to the boy and call 911. No charges have been filed. Tewksbury and Massachusetts State Police are assisting in the investigation, which is ongoing.
