Score: Tewksbury Red Pride A 22 Dover West Little Green 6
Tewksbury Seacoast Red Pride advance to the Seacoast League Atlantic Division Championship.
The Seacoast Red Pride captured a decisive win over the Dover West Little Green at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH 22-6 this past Saturday morning.
The Red Pride gave a great team effort and rallied in all aspects of the game for the victory, propelling them to the next round of the post season. One Red Pride Player did stand out on however. Brandon Winn had a monster day. Winn had two touchdowns, eleven tackles and forced a safety adding another 2 points for the Red Pride.
Tewksbury struck quick after a Little Green opening drive three and out. It took just two plays for Winn to cutback to pay dirt for the first touchdown and points of the day. The two point conversion was added by Giovanni Ciampa, who also had a strong day running the ball. It did not take the Red long to reach the end zone again this time it was a bruising run up the middle by Winn for 40 yards. The final points of the day came late in the fourth quarter on a 4th down and short attempt that saw Cody Sughrue masterfully misdirected the defenders and scampered 50 yards to close out the day. None of these scores would be possible without the downfield blocking of the receiving core of Kyle Obst, Jonny Spinelli and Mason Brown. Offensive linemen Sam Fortier and Jared Mason supported well from there tackle positions.
Defense was swarming on the Little Green offensive attack all morning. Along with Winn’s defensive efforts, Linebackers Jackson Derouche and Zach Frontain were in on every play and captured 6 tackles each. Always finding a way to be around the action paid off for C. Sughrue and Spinelli as each snatched up a fumble recovery. Other defensive contributors were Brown and Mason, 4 tackles each. Also, both playing through early game injuries Kyle Zervas and Francis Pino, added 3 tackles each.
The whole team effort was exceptional and much needed to overcome this tough foe. Many thanks to all the B Team players who attended in support and those who saw action did so without missing a beat in intensity.

Score: Tewksbury Red Pride A 6 Winnacunnet Little Warriors 30
The Seacoast Red Pride A team falls in the Seacoast Atlantic Conference Championship to a strong Winnacunnet Little Warriors team by a score of 30-6.
The Red offense drove the ball well all day but could not convert enough points for the victory. The running back tandem of Brandon Winn and Giovanni Ciampa both had excellent afternoons running the ball. With Ciampa provided a bruising attack while Winn slashed to the outside for most of his yards. The only score of the day came from Winn after breaking several tackles before racing 40 yards to pay dirt. The offense line lead by the blocking of Jackson Deroche consisted on Anthony Medeiros, Sam Fortier, Jared Mason, Zach Frontain and Tight End Mason Brown.
Several Red Pride players provided notable Defensively achievements. All tacklers were lead by middle line backer Winn who was involved in 10 of them. Following behind him was the brother tandem of Cody and Joshua Sughrue each making a great effort for the team and collecting 6 tackles each. Lastly, was the trio of Frontain, Ciampa and Derouche who had 5 tackles on the afternoon each. Other defensive highlights came from Jake Durant, Kyle Obst, Peter Carey, Kyle Zervas and Derek Graffeo.

Score: Portsmouth Clippers 28 Tewksbury Blue Pride A 14
The Tewksbury 5/6 Blue "A" Team played their opening round playoff game against the undefeated Portsmouth Clippers on Saturday, 29 Oct 11. The Blue Pride came up on the short end of a final score of Portsmouth 28 Blue Pride 14. Jesse Lamarca scored on two TD runs of 56 yards and 2 yards. He also added an extra point run. Trevor Nickerson had a 35 yard pass reception. The kids moved the ball well in the wind and cold in Portsmouth. The Clippers had too much offense for the Blue Pride team to overcome. The coaching staff would like to thank the kids for a GREAT first year in the Seacoast League. This was a very good experience for the coaches and kids as this was our first year in 5/6 grade travel. We would also like to thank the cheerleaders and their coaches whom cheered us on each and every game, Thanks girls!!!!! Many thanks go out to the Parents, Grandparents, family and friends that traveled each and every week to the games. Many times, we had more fans that the home team did.
The 5/6 Blue "B" team was snowed out from their "RUMBLE" in Dover, NH on Sunday. These games have been rescheduled for this Sunday, 06 Nov 11 in Dover.

Team: Wamesit
Score: Cheyenne 19 Wamesit 0
The Wamesit had a disappointing end to their season falling to a very good Cheyenne team 19-0 in the Superbowl. The Wamesit defense came out very flat yielding scores on the first two possessions but then they came to life and started to play up to their ability. Unfortunately, the offense struggled throughout and could not solve the swarming Cheyenne defense. Congratulations to both teams for a fun-filled season. The Cheyenne are deserving champions and they were definitely the better team today. The Wamesit have a lot of which to be proud. They worked hard, supported each other and played as a team through good times and bad. The coaches and parents are very proud of the entire team : captains Santino Garofalo, Matthew Houghton, Nicky Iannacci, Robbie Kimtis and Mike Woodford and the rest of the players Matthew Brennan, Aiden Crogan, Kyle Darrigo, Jason Elias, Jake Forgione, Aidan Hartman, Zach Hines, Paul Manzi, Jack Meuse-Sitar, Felix Navarrete, Colin Powers and Gavin Thomasset. The coaching staff: Head Coach Mike Sitar; Assistants John Garofalo, Mike Iannacci, Brian Nikonchuk and Mike Woodford; Student Coaches Vinny Iannacci and Evan Saunders. Score: Cheyenne 19 Wamesit 0
For the third straight year the Cheyenne wins the superbowl! Cheyenne faced Wamesit again for battle on the field. With scoring the first TD within the first 3 minutes of the game the mood was set & the Cheyenne was off & running towards a 19-0 finally. With the Cheyenne cheerleaders, not only cheering us to victory, but also putting on a great half time show. They include Madison Brown, Becky Cardia, Rebecca Deandrade, Bianca Desisto, Paige Dugette, Kylie Lamoureux, Rachel Lemus, Krysta McCallion, Emily Mitchell, Kasey Saunders, Katie Stuskywicz, Annemarie Sullivan, Leah Veloz & Alli Wild. They were coached by Bianca Sabatino, Amanda Jelley & Crystal Lemus. Again great job all year girls. This superbowl was especially grand for 6 of our players who have been key players on the team for the past 3 years. Tyler Keough scoring 2 Td's, Evan Mantel scoring 1 Td, Jack O’Neill, recovering a fumble, Brendan Lamothe along with Anthony Desisto leading the defense & Brodie Tirrell not only spent the day in the back field but recovered a fumble to end the game. All 6 play offense & defense. Good luck next year boys!! Owen Gilligan & Anthony Op let nothing past them as they were a wall on the line. Getting back up from Richard Lavargna, Danny Lightfoot, Jared Bova, & a huge tackle by Savion Piche. Leading the offense with the pass of the ball was Thomas Bradley. He was assisted by Jared Doyle, Kyle Scrooc,( who also had key tackles) & Austin Tingtella. Austin was injured the 2nd week of practice & still continued to show up every practice, every game until he was cleared to play & earned the nick name "coach". It has been my pleasure & my honor to be the head coach this year & assistant in the past. I couldn't have done it alone. A special thanks to my other coaches Brian Keough, Marc Mantel & Paul Desisto. I could not end without a VERY special thank you to all the parents. You have great boys, who have given their all, went passed what they thought they could do, supported each other on & off the field, through rain & shine & together as a team brought victory home. Job well done parents. For we all know the first respect is learned at home & these boys have respect. Of each other, us, their parents & respect for the game. So one more time...we are CHEYENNE!- Coach Brian Tirrell

Team: Mohawks
Score: Mohawks 20 Comanche 6 (Final Playoff Game)
On a cool, brisk, sunny Saturday morning, the Mohawks shined as bright as the sun against the fierce Comanche. The mighty Mohawk offensive linemen, Antonio Capelo, Asa Deroche, Ryan Day, Bobby O’Hearn, and Tyler Paulding prevented the Comanche defense from breaking through the line. Meanwhile, the outside blockers, Patrick Fleming, Danny Fleming, Lexia St. Cyr, Justin Flynn, and Marc Bradley, were solid from the very beginning of the game, continuing to push the defense back helping the Mohawk runners to push the yards. The Mohawks started off with some tremendous offensive runs by QB Richie Markwarth, followed by a long pass by Richie to the capable hands of Shane Aylward. Shane dodged several of the Comanche defensive men in a forty yard touchdown run. Great defense kept the Comanche from scoring. Aiden Doherty, Bobby O’Hearn, Asa Deroche, Ryan Day, Antonio Capelo, Tyler Paulding, Justin Flynn, and Stephen O’Hearn stood strong and were constantly tackling the Comanche in the Comanche back field. With the ball back to the Mohawks, Patrick Letourneau and Aiden Doherty added some great yardage with several quick sprints. QB Richie Markwarth scrambled 40 yards and pushed through the end zone for another Mohawk touchdown. The extra point resulted from a completed pass by Richie to Shane Aylward. The defense appeared unbreakable, except for one play, where Comanche, Billy Chase ran the ball for a long touchdown run. The half ended with Mohawks 13 and the Comanche 6.
The second half, the Mohawk continued to work as a well oiled machine. Driving the offense was QB Richie Markwarth and the running backs Shane Aylward, Patrick Letourneau, and Aiden Doherty with their aggressive drives and their ability to break through the defense and gain much needed yards. A highlight in the second half was William Rosato making his first debut run, gaining several yards for his team. Justin Flynn, Cameron Loder, and Aiden Leffler provided some well executed and key blocking. After a series of good drives by all, Richie once again passes to Shane for another Mohawk touchdown. The extra point was skillfully caught by the quick Marc Bradley. The Mohawk defense remained relentless. Aiden Doherty, Ryan Day, and Antonio Capelo made several quick key tackles in the Comanche backfield, preventing any additional points to be scored. The Mohawks end the season with a game showcased by teamwork. Thanks Mohawks, great season!

The Comanche’s ended the season with a loss to the Mohawks in the Consolation game on a cold Saturday morning. With Temperatures in the mid 20’s, the players had a hard time adjusting to the cold but had a lot of fun ending the season playing this great game of football. The only Comanche touchdown came from Billy Chase with a run up the middle for a 45 yard dash to the end zone. He also was instrumental in stopping the Mohawks on their drive inside the ten with an interception in the end zone. The players on the team would like to thank their parents for all their support and the cheerleaders who did a wonderful job all season long. All year long we have had strong blocking by Ed Clement, Andrew Farrell, Cullain Johnson, Ryan Keane, Michael Rosa, Aaron Connelly, Colin Fullerton and Lucus Tryder. CHEERLEADERS
ALL DIVISIONS
As the Tewksbury Youth Football season draws to an end I would like to recognize the unsung heroes that have come to practice and games during all of our unpredictable New England weather to support all of our football divisions. Those unsung heroes are the Tewksbury Youth Football cheerleaders. They come down the field no matter what the circumstances and never complain, they just do what they are trained to do and that is cheer on our boys. This year TYF had a restructure of their program which brought our 5th and 6th graders too many New Hampshire towns to play football games. These girls did what they needed to do to get to each and every game, whether their parents had to get up at an early hour to get them to Portsmouth, Dover or Bedford or they car pooled regardless of how they got there they showed up to support their teams.
Our cheerleading program consists of 10 teams. Four Junior in-town squads, Four 5th and 6th grade squads, and a 7th and 8th grade squad. We are proud that every individual who wants to participate in our Cheerleading program is provided this opportunity.
Our program also would not be a success without the dedication of our high school coaching staff. These coaches every night and weekend give of themselves to help our cheerleaders learn the basics of cheerleading. Without them volunteering their time it would be impossible to field our program. The outstanding efforts of these coaches are the main reason why our cheerleading program continues to be successful.
I salute all of these girls whether cheerleaders or coaches for their energy, hard work and dedication in teaching and learning their routines and supporting and cheering on our boys. They are truly the unsung heroes of Tewksbury Youth Football and Cheerleading.
