Community Rallies To Support Family Of Tewksbury Woman Slain In Las Vegas Massacre
Two fundraisers are raising money to help Rhonda LeRocque's husband and six-year-old daughter in the wake of Sunday night's tragedy.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury residents are already working to raise funds for the family of Rhonda LeRocque, less than 24 hours after news ripped through town that the local mother was among the victims of a massacre during a country music concert in Las Vegas. On social media, Tewksbury residents were asking what they could do to support her husband, Jason, and their six-year-old daughter, Ali, who were both at the concert Sunday night when LeRocque, 41, was shot and killed.
By Tuesday morning, WAAF on-air personality Greg Hill had set up a fundraiser for the LeRocque family through his foundation. The Greg Hill Foundation said it would match all donations up to $10,000 made in support of the family. Updated: Separately aGo Fund Me page has been set up. Proceeds from that effort will go directly to support Jason and Ali LeRocque.

Some posted social media comments cautioning that fundraisers could be set up by scam artists to take advantage of the widespread media attention on Sunday night's shooting. Patch has confirmed that both the Hill and GoFundMe fundraisers are raising funds to directly support the family.
Meanwhile, an online biography of LeRocque was being composed by online contributors and included an image and photo gallery. "Rhonda enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved country music and looked forward to her yearly trip to Hawaii with her family.[2] Rhonda is remembered for her contagious smile and caring nature," the entry of the biography said.
