Coronavirus: Tewksbury Co. Donates 33K Pounds Of Pet Food
Tewksbury-based Wellness Natural Pet Food Donates donated the pet food to the Greater Boston Food Bank.
TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury-based Wellness Natural Pet Food donated 33,000 pounds of pet food to the Greater Boston Food Bank, the company said in a news release. Feed family pets is one of many challenges the new coronavirus has created for struggling residents, the company noted.
The company donated 60 double-stacked pallets of canned dog food, according to the release. They've given 300,000 meals in the last month.
Wellness Natural Pet Food CEO Camelle Kent said the company is committed to helping pet owners.

“We want to make sure that every pet in our community has access to a full bowl with high-quality, natural food,” Kent said.
Greater Boston Food Bank CEO Catherine D'Amato thanked the company.

“The Greater Boston Food Bank is grateful for partners like Wellness Natural Pet Food for their generous donation during this unprecedented situation,” D’Amato said. “Everyone has a role in ending hunger in our community and this donation will help our neighbors in need provide food for their four-legged friends.”
