Could Adam Sandler Shoot Some Of "Grown-Ups 2" In Tewksbury?

When Paul Harrington of Tewksbury heard last week that Marblehead High didnt want to let the production crew of "Grown-Ups 2" use its football field as a set location this summer, he saw an opportunity.

Harrington has been speaking to as many local officials as possible and encouraging them to contact Adam Sandler's "Happy Madison" production company and invite them to use locations in Tewksbury for some of the filming.

"Why not Tewksbury," said Harrington, who was continuing his case to officials at

"Grown-ups 2" is being shot in Marblehead, Swampscott and other North Shore locations this summer. However, plans to create a "backyard set" including an inground swimming pool, on the Marblehead High football field were withdrawn in the face of local opposition.

Harrington says Tewksbury officials, acting on his recommendation, have reached out to Sandler's people but have not heard back yet.
