Man Ejected from Vehicle in Route 495 Rollover [UPDATE]

Two left lanes on Route 495 were closed following the crash.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A man in his 30s was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 495 Saturday morning, according to police.

In a statement, Massachusetts State Police said a 30-year-old Haverhill resident was traveling in the northbound lanes on Route 495 in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to rollover and crash in the median. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital by medical helicopter. The car had only one occupant.

Two left travel lanes on Route 495 northbound and southbound were closed for nearly two hours for investigation and cleanup. The crash remains under investigation and no further information is currently available.
