Crash Into Utility Pole Closes Tewksbury Street, Police Say

TEWKSBURY, MA — East Street was closed following a crash into a utility pole early Friday morning, according to police.

The road is closed between North and Chandler streets.

Police said drivers should avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes.

National Grid is at the scene of the accident to repair the damage.

Police said the road "will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so."

Residents traveling to Preservation Lane should access East Street from the Chandler Street side.

Residents traveling to Spaulding Court should access East Street from the North Street side.
