A Decades-Old Mistake May Mean a Surprise Sewer Bill for Some Homeowners
Between 40 to 50 homeowners impacted by mistake.

Have you received a town sewer bill that has you scratching your head? You’re not alone.
Due to a mistake dating back a decade or more, upwards of 40 to 50 Tewksbury homeowners are receiving bills for town sewer charges, the Lowell Sun is reporting.
Town Manager Richard Montuouri told the Sun, the town discovered the mistake a year ago, but bills just went out over the past few weeks and instead of backdating the bills, the town is charging these homeowners for their last three years of usage. He also told the paper the town doesn’t know exactly what caused the mix up.
