The Dewing Elementary School Dew-Gooders again did a wonderful job collecting donations for the Tewksbury Community Pantry. Throughout their week-long food drive, and especially on last Thursday’s “Silly Hat/Hair Day,” they were able to collect and deliver 606 items to the pantry, in addition to a check for $200. Students brought in canned goods, boxed pasta, cereal, soap, tooth brushes and more to help neighbors in need.
The Tewksbury Community Pantry, located at 999 Whipple Road, serves approximately 250 families and individuals in Tewksbury who are in need of temporary and long-term food assistance.
