Disconnected Tanker Causing Traffic Woes In Tewksbury, I-495

TEWKSBURY, MA -- There were some residual delays in the vicinity of the Woburn Street on-ramp to I-495 in Tewksbury Monday morning. The lanes were closed after a tanker rig came disconnected from the truck. While the lanes reopened around 9 am, there was some backup in the area nearly an hour later.

There was no crash reported and none of the tanker's contents spilled, but crews have been working throughout rush hour to clear the tanker.
