EMILY CASHELL'S HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE FOR BOSTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND THE JIMMY FUND CLINIC

Happy Holidays,
It is time again for Emily Cashell’s Toy Drive for Boston’s Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic. This is Emily’s Tenth Annual Toy Drive and she wants to thank everyone for their support over the past nine years. Emily holds this drive because she remembers spending many holiday seasons at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic while her sister, Ashley, was sick and fighting her winning battle with leukemia. Emily thought of how nice it would be to help children that are spending their Holidays as a patient at Boston’s Children’s Hospital or receiving their cancer treatments at the Jimmy Fund Clinic.
Please consider donating a new unwrapped toy to Emily Cashell's Holiday Toy Drive and help bring a smile to a child’s face this Holiday Season. Other gift ideas are new unopened make-up kits, hair products, hats, blankets, plush toys (with all labels and tags attached), arts and craft supplies, board games, and card games. Children’s ages range from 0 to 21 years of age.
I am very proud of my daughter Emily’s initiative and dedication to helping the Children and their families that are affected by serious illness and injuries that are being treated at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic. At 17 years old Emily has shown an incredible amount of maturity and compassion through her actions and dedication to helping others in need. Our family remembers how difficult a time this was for us while spending the Holiday Season at Boston Children’s Hospital. Shopping for the Holidays was the last thing on our minds and near impossible to do. Thanks to the actions of family, friends, and complete strangers our children were able to celebrate our Holiday of Christmas. Santa must have made a direct trip from the North Pole to our house. My wife and I to this very day cannot express our sincere gratitude to everyone that made our children’s Christmas so special at a time when the world had almost stopped for us. Your Donation of a New Toy or Gift will take some stress off of the parents that cannot get out shopping for their family do to their child’s illness and hospitalization during this Holiday Season. Your donation will also help the children and their families enjoy their Holiday a little bit more under their circumstances.
Emily has multiple Toy Collection Boxes that are located in several towns listed below. Emily is asking for donations of new toys, still in their original packaging, gift cards (such as I-Tunes, Best Buy, Visa, ect.), and Art Supplies, are some of the many items on the patients wish list at Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic this year. Children’s ages range from 0 to 21 years of age and a full list can be forwarded to you via an email request to me at cashellmark@gmail.com., there will also be a copy at the drop box locations. Donations can also be sent directly to Boston Children’s Hospital to the attention of Annika Stout, Patient and Family Resource Room Main 687, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, Ma 02115 or the Jimmy Fund Clinic at DFCI attention Martha Young 450 Brookline Ave, D 305 Boston, MA 02215-5450.
Please support Emily Cashell’s Holiday Toy Drive for Children’s Hospital and The Jimmy Fund Clinic and put some much-needed smiles on the faces of these children and their Families. Emily and I will be happy to come and pick up toy donations if needed, just call me at 978-604-9566.
This year will be another special Christmas for our family. Ashley celebrates her eleventh year of remission on December 9, 2019! (Coincidentally, it is also my brother's birthday. )
On behalf of my family Merry Christmas, we hope you all enjoy your Holiday Season and have a Happy New Year,
Mark, Erica, Emily, Ashley, and Abagail Cashell
