Their warm and participatory programs involve audiences in a wide variety of cultural heritages. Davis and Roger have both received Parents' Choice awards for their most recent recordings. Davis won a Gold Award for <a href="http://www.davisbates.com/tape.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Family Stories</a> (which was named one of the ten best audio recordings of 1996 by Booklist magazine), and Roger won an Honor Award for <a href="http://www.rogertincknell.com/cd.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Earth Rhythms</a>, an environmental album, and Silver Honors for <a href="http://www.rogertincknell.com/cd.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Carnavalito</a>, one of his recent CDs. Their show is a fantastic blend of fun stories and great music and everyone gets to chime in! Choose between general admission seating or book an 'Eight-Track' table for your group, with food and drink available for purchase throughout the night. Soldier On owns and operates the Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community, 21-units of supportive affordable housing for formerly homeless veterans at 1660 Main Street in&nbsp;Tewksbury.&nbsp;Soldier On is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization dedicated to ending homelessness among veterans. Since 1994, we have provided transitional and emergency housing alongside critical supportive services—case management, medical and dental care coordination, mental health and addiction treatment, financial literacy education, and transportation assistance.
For more than three decades, Soldier On has been “Changing the End of The Story” for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by delivering—and coordinating—an extensive continuum of housing and support services.
To reach veterans where they are, Soldier On also operates a mobile, door-to-door outreach program through Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), serving veterans and their families across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Massachusetts. Since 2011, nearly 40,000 veterans have received case management, referrals, and temporary financial assistance to help stabilize their housing.
Across our affordable housing communities, Soldier On currently provides housing and wraparound support services to 525 veterans. We promote long-term stability through on-site supportive services, transportation assistance, wellness services, legal support, and end-of-life care.
