For students entering Kindergarten to 3rd grade.
Don't lose those reading and comprehension skills over the
summer! Instead, come have fun while reading at our Club! We all read the same book before we meet (nothing too long) and then we talk about it while snacking. Afterwards, we make a craft based on the book.
This time, we'll be discussing Wilma Unlimited: How Wilma Rudolph Became the World's Fastest Woman by Kathleen Krull. As a child, Wilma was struck with polio and could not walk without a leg brace. She couldn't run or play basketball with other kids. So how did she win three gold medals for track and field at the 1960 Olympics? This is a very inspiring true story. Don't forget to pick up a copy of the book at the Children's desk to read before we have our meeting!
Limited to 15.
Location: Craft Room
