Ex-Tewksbury Police Chief Sworn In As South Portland, ME Chief
Tim Sheehan led Tewksbury's police for more than a decade.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Former Tewksbury Police Chief Tim Sheehan was sworn in Monday as South Portland, Maine police chief, Tewksbury police said on Twitter. Sheehan spent more than three decades with Tewskbury police, including a decade as chief. Members of the department traveled to Maine to attend Sheehan's swearing in.
Deputy Chief John Voto is serving as interim chief while the town goes through a hiring process. The town has hired Badgequest, a consulting firm, to help conduct assessments, and plans to hire within the department.
