UPDATE: Man Injured in Explosion Inside Truck Monday Morning

The incident was at a construction site on Main Street and officials are investigating.

TEWKSBURY, MA - A man was injured and taken to the hospital Monday morning following an explosion inside a truck on Main Street.

Official say at about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, Tewksbury Police and Fire responded to 1418 Main Street for a fire in a commercial box truck that contained two commercial power washing units. The incident occurred at a construction site.

The man was taken to Lahey Hospital and according to NorthEast Fire Alerts he suffered facial burns.

A joint investigation is underway by Tewksbury Fire, Tewksbury Police and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is also conducting an investigation as this is work-related injury.
