Firefighters, Police Back Robertson In State Rep Race

The departments in both towns covered by the legislative district backed the Democratic nominee.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Dave Robertson, the Democratic nominee for the vacant state representaive's seat that serves Wilmington and most of Tewksbury, picked up four key nominations Thursday as the police and fire departments in both towns formally endorsed his campaign. Robertson will face Republican nominee Pina Prinzivalli and independent Patricia Meuse in the general election on Nov. 6.

"I am honored and truly humbled to receive the endorsement of the Tewksbury and Wilmington Police and Fire Departments," Robertson said in a statement. "I have the utmost respect and appreciation for the brave men and women who serve as first responders in our district, and as your next State Representative I will work tirelessly to make sure they have the support, funding and equipment they need to keep our district, and themselves, safe."
