Become a library power user! Learn how to download free music with Freegal, a free online service offered to Tewksbury residents. Demonstrations, videos, handouts and Q&A will be included. Please note this is NOT a hands-on session, but participants will leave ready to set up an account and start using Freegal on their own.

Special Event: Is There Value In Your Old and Rare Books? with Ken Gloss (*RR)

Tuesday, December 6, 7pm

Ken Gloss, proprietor of the Brattle Book Shop, will explore the value of old and rare books. He’ll also discuss the history of his historic bookshop, which dates back to 1825. Gloss will talk about and show some of his favorite finds and describe some of the joys of the hunt as well as explain what makes a book go up in value. He has many anecdotes to share as well as guidelines for what to look for when starting a collection. Following the talk and Q&A session, Gloss will give free verbal appraisals of all books that attendees have brought with them. (The library reserves the right to limit the number of appraisals based on crowd size and time constraints.)

Storytime Stations

Join us for story plus playtime! Each month features a different classic tale which we will read, then families are free to move as they would like among several different stations that include crafts, math, science, gross or fine motor skills and more to have fun with based on the story. We'll clean up and come all back together at the end for one more activity together. For ages 3 to 6. Older or younger siblings are always welcome. Co-sponsored by Community Teamwork

Join us each month for a different foray into the world of art! This might include drawing, clay, music, theater, art projects or more. In December, we'll be working with clay! For kids in Grades 1-5.
