There is a report a gas meter has been struck in the area of 1204 Main St. causing a major leak. Evacuations are currently underway and the gas company is en route.The building is occupied. Reports say the meter snapped off so the gas is flowing into the building. The meter is also under several feet of snow and they need to dig it out to shut the gas off.It's unclear what has caused the meter to be struck at this time.Tewksbury Patch will bring you more information as it becomes available.
