Gas Main Work Begins Monday In Tewksbury, Will Cause Delays

TEWKSBURY, MA — National Grid Gas will begin work on a gas main replacement project in Tewksbury beginning Monday.

The work will be on Pine Street between Whipple Road and Chandler Street. It's anticipated the work will take 10 to 12 weeks to complete, according to a statement from the town.

School bus routes will not be affected. One-lane, two-way alternating traffic will be maintained at a minimum.

During construction hours, delays are expected and drivers should avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes where available.
