
Happy National Pumpkin Day/Weekend 2019! What does National Pumpkin Day mean? It means celebrating the veggie, cooking the veggie and eating the veggie! The origin of the pumpkin dates back to the end of the 4th millennia BC on the lands of Central America. It is considered to be the most ancient veggie, now found in America. Today, the pumpkin is a typical guest on the fields in all agriculture areas of the world. In producing the largest numbers of pumkins, the US holds fourth place. This veggie is a cultivar of a squash plant; and it's scientific name is: Cucurbita Maxima. Pumpkins are the quintessential symbols of the Fall Season.
