TEWKSBURY, MA—The saving of the Hardy-Pike house, a historic home in Tewksbury, has been given another chance.
Tewksbury Town Manager Richard Montouri confirmed with Patch that Group 1 Automotive Inc., the company which owns the site of the Hardy-Pike house, will be using the house for offices while its Ira dealership is renovated. Group 1 also offered to pay a $1,250 fee for a historic consultant to tour the house Thursday.

"If anything, this gives us more time to figure out what we're going to do with the house," Montouri said.
According to a report by the Lowell Sun, developer Jim Andella was looking into moving the house to another property as stated at the Historical Commission's May 16 meeting. Mountori said there have been no new developments in that plan as of yet.
