As crowds flocked to the Tewksbury Country Club to see the Stanley cup Saturday morning, the Tewksbury Titans were busy shutting down Blackstone Valley, 6-3, in the first round of the New England AAU 13-under Tournament.
Mike Milano and Ryan Petti got the team off to a great start with two RBIs a piece in the first inning. By the end of the first inning, Tewkbury was up 5-0.

Blackstone Valley turned up the heat in the fifth inning. They had bases loaded and no outs. Pitcher Nate Tenaglia came in and closed the inning by picking off two runners at first base and throwing another runner out at first after he fielded a ground ball. Thanks to Nate, Blackstone Valley came out of the fifth inning with one run.
Tewksbury also defeated the ShrewsburyThunder on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. However, on Sunday, they were eliminated by the North Shore Sharks, 11-10.

The Titans ended their season 8th in New England with an overall record of 28-7-1.
