IMAGE GALLERY: Trahan Students Learn About Paul Revere

Students are given the chance to "recreate" the famous ride.

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.

And so begins the famous poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that immortalized the famous ride at the start of the Revolutionary War.

Recently, students at the had the chance to take a hands-on approach to learning about Paul Revere. Kristin Foster of the Paul Revere Memorial Association spent the day at the Trahan Elementary School. Third-graders not only learned about Paul Revere, but got to act out key roles relating to the ride.
