Lowell Man Arrested on Cocaine Distribution Charges

An undercover detective was asked by the man if he wanted to purchase cocaine, according to police.

TEWKSBURY, MA—A Lowell man was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine at the Motel 6 in Tewksbury Tuesday.

Tewksbury Police announced Tuesday that Sergio DaCosta, 26, of Lowell was arrested after asking an undercover detective if he wanted to purchase cocaine. An agreement was made to purchase the cocaine from DaCosta, and police later seized the cocaine and placed DaCosta under arrest.

DaCosta was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
