Lowell Police Investigating Home Invasion By Duo Posing As Cops
Police said the suspects wore police badges and holstered handguns, and forced their way into the residence.

LOWELL, MA — Lowell police arrested one suspect after an armed robbery in Lowell Friday morning. According to the department, two people wearing police badges and holstered handguns forced their way into a home after identifying themselves as police. The suspects then tied up the victims, according to police.
The police said a witness heard the victims yelling for help and found them inside the home, but the suspects ran away before the witness found them and called the police. One suspect was later found, 35-year-old Willmann Rivadeneira of Chelmsford, who will be arraigned in Lowell District Court Monday.
Police are still attempting to identify the second suspect. No information is available at this time about motives.
