Mercury, Tire and Recycling Drive Planned for Saturday in Woburn
Do you have any mercury bearing wastes, car tires you or car batteries you need to get rid of? Here is what you need to know.

WOBURN, MA — Do you have any mercury-bearing waste or tires that you need to get rid of? You can do so in Woburn on Saturday.
The City has announced that the Mercury and Tire Recycling Drive originally scheduled for Sept. 17 has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot. Collection will include mercury-bearing wastes such as fluorescent lighting, thermometers and button batteries as well as car tires and batteries.
Tires on or off rims will be recycled for $1 each, and automative batteries will also be recycled for $1 each.
