Moulton 'Truly Sad' For Country Following Election
Congressman Seth Moulton who represents Tewksbury won his uncontested race last night, but any celebrating was somber.
TEWKSBURY, MA – Congressman Seth Moulton was unchallenged this election cycle, but still described last night as "one of the most disillusioning of our lives."
Moulton put a statement on Facebook urging people not to write off the election or public service. He did not reference Donald Trump's win directly, but said he was "truly sad for this country," and shared people's "disappointment and concern."
Although unopposed, 12,200 Tewksbury residents cast votes for the Salem-based Congressman.

"Each of us, in our own separate ways, must step forward into this new, uncertain world, and strive to work with one another to find principled hope, not false promises; to see the opportunity for healing in our deep divisions; and to stand up for the fundamental convictions of our country when they are under assault from within," Moulton wrote.
Moulton spoke out against Trump in August when the Republican nominee when he criticized Khizr and Ghazala Khan, Gold Star parents of Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed while serving in Iraq.
