Overdose Leads To Arrest Of Drug Dealer In Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Tewksbury Police were able to arrest an alleged drug dealer after responding to a non-fatal overdose Friday. Police investigating the overdose tracked Stuard Hernandez, 21, of 624 Howard Street Apt. #1 in Lawrence, to the Town Place Suites, where they arrested him as he was attempting to deliver heroin.

Police seized 23 grams of heroin. In addition to a charge of trafficking heroin, over 18 grams, Hernandez was charged with vandalizing property. Police said at the station, he intentionally broke a sprinkler head and caused a significant amount of water damage.

Hernandez was arraigned in Lowell District Court Monday.
