Police Arrest Accused Assailant, Victim In Tewksbury Stabbing

The victim in the stabbing, which police say was happened during a drug deal, was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Police arrested Thomas P. Quinlan, 27, of Dracut, early Wednesday morning following a stabbing at a Tewksbury home Tuesday night. Quinlan was charged with armed assault to murder (knife) and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, serious bodily injury and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Lowell District Court. The victim in the case, who was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, was also arrested on outstanding warrants, police said.

Police responded to a call at 10:08 pm Tuesday night that a man had been stabbed at 210 Pleasant Street. Police identified Quinlan as the suspect in the case during their investigation. He was arrested without incident in Lowell.

Tewksbury Police said the stabbing occurred during a drug deal. They are not releasing the name of the victim and the investigation is ongoing.
