Bobcats 20 - Hornets 16
The Bobcats prevailed in a very close game against the Hornets despite missing a key player, Leo Frisella, to an injury. Both teams were ice cold with neither putting together much offense until the Bobcat’s leading scorer Robert Page (8 points) caught fire late in the 2nd quarter. Matt Boudreau and Ryan Nickerson helped set up Page inside as the basket finally began to drop as the half closed. Nick Borges and Kevin Carta found guard Matty McLaughlin who fought hard thru the Hornets’ defense to add 7 points for the ‘Cats as the game remained close. Ahkil Bagul’s found his shot in the 3rd, assisted by Daniel Derosa, and added in 4 points to pull the team out in front. Nolan Higgins rounded out the scoring with 1 point as he put in a clutch free throw from the foul line. Not giving up and overcoming their early offensive frustrations, the team moves to 2 – 0 on the season heading into the Thanksgiving Holiday break.

Eagles 34 - Sonics 30
The Eagles notched their first win of the season with a solid, almost mistake-free performance in an exciting game with the Sonics. The game was close from beginning to end, with too many lead changes to count, until the Eagles pulled away in the 4th quarter thanks to great inside ball work by Aaron Whitehouse (13 points) and Nick Catizone (11 points). Elijah McTiernan scored 6 points on his many fast breaks, and Nick Chinappi and Jeff D'Entremont each nailed a nice basket from outside. The Eagles' other big man, Evan McCarthy, played another fine game, blocking the lanes and grabbing many rebounds. And although they didn't score, Justin Brown, Cory Mello, and Alex Kelleher played outstanding team ball, setting picks, forcing jump balls, and playing solid defense.
Bucks 28 - Celtics16
In Saturday morning’s game, both teams displayed great passing and shooting skills. In spite of the Celtics strong defense, the Bucks won 28 to 16. Patryk Wild led the team in scoring with 16 points. Forward Derek Steinbrecher (2) showed great passing skills, getting the ball around the Celtics to his teammates. Jonathan Fuller (4) showed good defensive skills by boxing out the opposition under the net. Guards John Henry Dvorak and Raymond Humphrey provided great defense during alternate quarters keeping the Celtics offense in check. Kevin Cooke (2) led the team in rebounds always being in the right place at the right time for the turnover. James Wink kept the pressure on the Celtics shooters forcing them to pass rather than shoot. Jared Ward (2) did a great job finding the open lanes moving the ball down court to set up offensive plays. Kyle Strong(2) showed his skills at setting “picks” and keeping the lane open for his teammates. It was a well-played game by both teams.
