UPDATED Redmen Roundup: 4x100 Relay Team Shatters Record
Tennis team stays hot with 4-1 victory over Billerica.
had some outstanding performances on Saturday at the highly competitive Andover Invitational Meet.
The 4x100 meter relay team of placed second in a time of 50.51 seconds. In doing so, they set a new Tewksbury High record. The old mark of 50.64 seconds was set back in 2007 by the team of Laurie Irvine, Ashley Smith, Lindsey Bowden, and Kristina Zontini.
"We were very happy for those 4x100 kids. Erin Morrissey and Jen Schultz are sophomores, and they've never been part of a school record before, but they ran great. Morrissey's putting together a great season, and Schultz has proven to be very versatile between all three sprints," said Coach John Byrnes.

"Of course Jess Bridle and Sarah Hogan were awesome on legs two and three. On the team whose mark they broke, Ashley Smith ran a blistering 2nd leg backstretch, and today Jess's leg looked like a carbon copy of that leg. And Hogan obliterated the other third legs out there," said Byrnes. "We don't take 4x1 splits, but I'm sure her leg was very, very fast."

"Semenza's 800 was beautifully run. She hasn't run many big meet 800s, but she's got a ton of poise," said Byrnes. "Anything under 2:20 means a kid is really bringing out there- great race."

"Courtney Spinelli's grabbed 5th place, and she was actually a little disappointed, but she's such a good technician that you know she'll be back Thursday night at MVCs," said Byrnes. "Rebecca Clark will be ready too. Coach Molloy does a great job with them."
"We had some nice performances today," added Byrnes. "Our 4x800 team of Jackie Giasullo, Rachel Eatherton, Courtney Graffeo, and Rebecca Davies hit a state qualifying time of 10:23. Kelsie Bradley hit our team's best LJ of the year with a 15'1" jump. Grace Canavan posted a personal best in the Mile with a 6:04. And Kelly Quigley posted personal best in both the 100h (16.61) and the triple jump (33'8")."
"MVCs are at the same track in Andover on Thursday night, and we feel like we're ready. It should be a fun meet."
Tewksbury Boys Place At Andover Invitational
The Tewksbury boys 4 x 800 team of Kip Horahan, Brian Amaral, Cory Thomas, and Nick Souza placed third at the Andover Invitational with a time of 8:32.28.

Tennis Team Tops Billerica, 4-1
The Tewksbury High tennis team bounded back from a 4-1 loss to Haverhill lon Monday (Kylie Sedgwick was the lone winner at No. 3 singles) with a 4-1 win over Billerica on Friday.
Against Billerica:
won, 6-1, 6-1
won, 1-6, 7-6(11) and 10-2 in a match tiebreak.
Monika Hyberts lost, 6-0, 6-1.
Jordyn LeBlanc and Lindsey McQuesten won at No. 1 doubles in three sets.
Nicole McColgan and Natasha Kuegler won at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-2.
The Redmen will host Notre Dame Academy on Monday and will travel to take on Methuen on Friday.
