Chotkowski struck out nine, on his way to improving his personal record to 5-1 on the year. Tewksbury is 6-10 overall. The only hiccup for the lefty ace came in the 6th inning, when he gave up two runs, just one of which was earned. But Chotkowski bore down, escaped further damage and dispatched the Middies in the 7th to preserve the win.
Tewksbury didn't have their offense working on all cylinders, either. They scored all three of their runs in the first inning and were shut down after that. Frankie McLaughlin (RBI) and Mike Casey had the only hits for the Redmen.
