Road Closed After Utility Pole Struck In Tewksbury, Police Say

TEWKSBURY, MA — Main Street between Salem Road and Hill Street is closed "until further notice due to a utility pole being struck," police said.

In a Facebook post around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, police said the following detours will be in place:

• Northbound Main St traffic: Salem Rd → South St → Hill St → back to Main St
• Southbound Main St traffic: Hill St → South St → Salem Rd → back to Main St

A tractor trailer "snagged a wire and took down a pole on Main Street," according to a post from the town. Main Street is shut down while the line is being repaird.
