Pajamarama Story Time, arts and crafts and yoga highlight schedule.

School is back in session and don't forget to hand in your summer reading logs to your new classroom teachers! Looking for report forms for students entering grades 5 through 12? Find them at the Tewksbury Public Schools' website at www.tewksbury.mec.edu and click on the link for Summer Reading. All forms and reading lists are available on that site.

To register for programs requiring sign up, just call the Children's desk at 978-640-4496 on the date indicated or try signing up online through our calendar which you can access from our website at www.tewksburypl.org. If the program doesn't say registration is required, then just drop in.

Tiny Tykes Story Time is for children ages 0 to 18 months on Monday, September 13th, 20th and 27th at 10:30am.  Enjoy simple songs, stories and movement.  No registration required and older and younger siblings are always welcome to come along.

Wiggle Time is our story time for children who are 2 years old (ages 18 to 23 months are also welcome to join us).  This Story Time is on Thursdays at 10:30am on September 9th, 16th and 23rd.  Space is limited to 15 children and their caregivers.  Registration is required and begins on August 31st; you may register for any 2 out of the 3 available dates.  Call the Children's desk or register online through our calendar.

September's drop in Toddler Craft will be held on Thursday, September 30th from 10:30am to 11:30am. Come by any time during the hour to make a Spider Craft. No registration required and children ages 18 to 23 months are also welcome to join us. Please, no children ages 3 and up should attend expecting to make the craft.

Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 is on Tuesdays on September 7th, 21st and 28th at 11:00am.    Pajamarama Story Time is on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:00pm.  Wear your pjs for this evening program! No registration is required, just drop in to hear stories, sing songs and move.

Try out our brand new Dads and Donuts Story Time on Saturday, September 18th at 10:30am for ages 3 to 6.  Dads (and other caregivers are also welcome) can bring their little ones to listen to stories, which will be followed by refreshments for both parents and kids. 

Children ages 3 to 6 can attend our Story and Craft time on Wednesday, September 15th at 3:30pm.  We'll hear stories about a specific topic and then make a craft.  No registration is required, however, please come promptly at 3:30pm to hear the stories.

Enjoy our Drop in Preschool Crafts for ages 3 to 6 on Wednesday, September 8th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm and make a Grandparents' Day Present.  On Friday, September 17th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm come and make a fingerpaint Autumn Tree.  No registration required, just come by any time during the hour.  Please, children under the age of 3 should not come expecting to make the craft.

Got a favorite or fancy or plain or funny or weird or much-loved stuffed animal?  Then bring him or her to our first ever Stuffed Animal Pet Show on Thursday, September 16th at 3:30pm.  All ages are welcome to bring along their stuffed animal (only one per child, please).  We will all vote for our favorites and every animal is guaranteed to win a category and get a certificate.  No registration required.

Miss Amy will be offering another Family Yoga class for kids ages 4 to 10 and their grown ups on Monday, September 20th at 3:30pm.  Please bring a yoga mat or towel for every "body" attending the class.  This class is limited in space, and registration begins on September 13th.  Call the Children's desk or sign up online through our calendar.

Family Matinees will now take place on Saturday afternoons. On Saturday, September 11th at 2:00pm, we shall screen "James and the Giant Peach." Bring a blanket and pillows if you like, and snacks and drinks may be consumed while you remain in the room.  All ages are invited, however proper movie behavior is expected at all times.   No registration is required.  Thank you for the generosity of the Friends of the Library and the Lions Club for this movie program.

Join our Read to Me Book & Craft Club for children entering kindergarten to 3rd grade.  In this club we all read the same book, then snack while talking about the story.  Then we make a craft based on the book!    We'll meet on Thursday, September 23rd at 3:30pm to discuss Wabi Sabi, a story about cat in search of the meaning of her name. Pick up a copy of the book to read before we meet at the Children's desk.  Each club event is limited to 15 children and registration begins . Register by calling the Children's desk or registering through our online calendar.

Our September School Age Drop In Craft will be a Paper Bead Wristband for ages 6 to 14 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Wednesday, September 29th.  You will love these easy to make and colorful beads and bands.  No registration required.
