Shawsheen Tech Looking For Superintendent Screening Committee
The school committee is looking for candidates to sit on a superintendent search committee.

BILLERICA, MA — The Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is looking for people to serve on the superintendent search screening committee, they said Wednesday. The school is in need of a new superintendent after the departure of the prior superintendent at the end of last school year. The screening committee will review applications, interview semi-finalists and recommend finalists to the school committee.
The school committee is looking for people from various groups, including school faculty and staff, parents, area business owners, and civic figures including school committee members. Committee members will need to be available a number of days in December and January for meetings of the committee and interviews. The first two meetings will be Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Interviews will be conducted either the week of Dec. 16 or the week of Jan. 13.
The committee asked that people with interest, and availability, send in letters of interest by Friday, Nov. 8. Letter should be sent to Mr. Robert Gallagher, Chair, Shawsheen School Committee, c/o Karen Faiola, 100 Cook St., Billerica MA 01821, or by email to kfaiola@shawtech.org. The screening committee will be announced at the Nov. 20 school committee meeting.
