Shawsheen Technical High School Superintendent to Retire

Charlie Lyons announces he will retire at the end of the year.

Shawsheen Regional Technical High School Superintendent Charlie Lyons is retiring.

For almost three decades Lyons has been at the helm of Shawsheen Tech. He told Wilmington Apple, he will be retiring at the end of the year. He told the Shawsheen Tech School Committee of his plans at it’s monthly meeting last Tuesday, March 31, according to the report.

Lyons told teachers of his decision at a staff meeting on Friday, April 3 after students were released for the day.

“I’ve had a great career at Shawsheen and look forward to new challenges,” Lyons told Wilmington Apple.
